Public Buses
In Bangkok are many ways to get from A to B, including public transport buses. The bus system is divided into a total of 8 zones in which several hundred bus lines run. The buses themselves are different in color and features, size, many buses are without and some are with air condition.
What makes a bus trip attractive?
Driving with the BTS or MRT is aimed at certain routes, which are rather small compared to the bus routes. Buses go not only in the areas where you can easily get with BTS and Co., buses also go to all the districts, where you could get there otherwise only by taxi or Tuk Tuk, and also a bus ride is still unbeatable cheap.
What makes a bus trip less attractive?
You first have to understand the bus system. The labels of the destinations on the bus are almost always written in Thai and if you do not know where you want to go, it will be difficult to find and choose the right bus line. At peak times buses are full, seats will be hard to find. Buses are usually slower than BTS / MRT, taxi or tuk tuk.
