We are looking for exchange and cooperation. We offer various opportunities to participate in the project,
from constructive criticism, to participation in the project.

Improvement & Criticism

We always try to be up-to-date and to create and present information necessary for the articles. On one hand, mistakes can creep in, doing mistakes is human. On the other hand, content can change because it is outdated. So if you have found a mistake, you can tell us what you found. We will check and adjust it immediately.

Free Participation

Various authors participate in our project. In addition to the website's owner, other writers also write about their very own experiences about their holiday in Bangkok or about the Bangkok they know where they live. These are either unique experiences. You want to become such an author? That's our pleasure! Since we are still pretty much at the beginning of the project, we can not financially reward this form of participation. If it is important to you to participate in such a project, you can contribute useful information, there is at least a name and if necessary and desired, an integration / link to your project.

Free Blogging

Our blog section is, and is set to grow, a place for vacationers to share their travel experiences. We do not offer an independent blog system, but there is a basic structure with which you can show pictures and texts. The introduction of a blog should bring advantages for us as travel planner, as well as for the blog writer. For us it would be new content, from individual perspectives. For the blog writer, it is a form of presentation that is combined with the integration into your own blog page. Make My Bangkok Holiday gets content, the blog writer gets in the ideal case more visitors for their own blog page, who have read his blogs here.

Tour Guides

On our website we do not offer tours directly in Bangkok. But we offer the possibility to create a profile (created by us). The profile is available in two versions: 1) free of charge. The free Tour Guide profile shows a selected number of photos, combined with a text describing the person and what the tours are about. 2) The fee-based Tour Guide profile has a larger number of photos, tours are not generally described, but can be described individually.

Sellers

Bangkok is a metropolis that is versatile, varied and, above all, rich in ideas. For example, many Thai people uses Facebook as a platform to sell their goods. In doing so, they use the native living room or their professional business premises in webcam format. We create profiles for sellers offering their goods. There is no direct sale on our website, the profiles are for information purposes only. If you are in any way Bangkok "professional", regularly be on site, distribute articles specifically from Bangkok, you can also get a profile on our website - pay a fee.

At this point, Make My Bangkok Holiday profiles are available for local sellers living in Bangkok for free. We want to help the Thai in this way to get more prospects & buyers for their goods.

Advertising

Make My Bangkok Holiday is looking for suitable advertising partners. Our aim is to present as much travel information as possible about Bangkok. Advertising revenue should help.

In this area we would like to give some answers to possible questions. Or should you have questions that are not answered here that might be of interest to others, we will also answer them here.

Entry with and without visa

Travel to Thailand usually does not require a visa. There are clear rules for staying as a tourist. Primacy is the nationality of how long tourists in Thailand can stay without a visa. Exception: if Thailand is only a stopover for a holiday trip, a ticket for the onward journey must be available for entering Thailand. If Thailand is the only country that you would like to travel as a tourist, a ticket for the return journey must be available. If there is no ticket for a return trip, you need a visa.

Customs Regulations

If you travel to Bangkok, you have to pay attention to what you take with you while you enter to Thailand. The same applies, when you were busy shopping and buying specials good which are maybe are forbidden to enter in your home country. Last but not least, buy some Antiques can only be executed with permission.

Greeting

"Wai" calls the Thai welcome. With the Wai you expresses your respect for another person, it is not just a pure form of greeting. The Wai is also also used for adoption, thanksgiving and apology. For the Wai the hands are placed together, the arms are placed on the upper body. Now, there are differences in Thailand, how to greet someone, because you look at the people in different ranks and, accordingly, the different respect is paid.

The most comprehensible distinction can be found, for example, in companies, where the managing director is also of the "rank" over the office strength. According to this principle, there are persons of lower rank, equal, higher and monks are high up. If you bring the hands together to the upper body, the two thumbs always point to one yourself. You can notice the following: the higher the hands are held, the more respect you shows to one's counterpart.

The greeting with the Wai also includes a slight nod when greeting low-ranked people, and may end with a long bow when greeting very high-ranking people, such as monks. If you greet monks, keep your fingers crossed at the height of your eyebrows ... greet older people, keep your fingers crossed at the height of your lips ... for equals your thumbs are at chin level and for lower ranked people the thumbs are at chest height.
If you are unsure which form you should use, a nod and a smile are enough. Often you can and do make a greeting as a tourist often, but nobody will blame you.
