Soi Cowboy.
As Soi Cowboy refers to the most famous red light district in Bangok. Soi Cowboy is a 150-meter side street just off BTS Station Asok, within walking distance. The name Soi Cowboy owes its name to the first founded go-go bar in the mid-1970s. The retired American aviator "Cowboy" Edwards opened his first bar in 1973 and his second bar in 1977. Edwards got his nickname Cowboy because he often wore a cowboy hat, while the Soi Cowboy has about 40 bars, mostly Go-Go Bars, and at least one Rastaurant can be found there too.
Nana Plaza.
The counterpart to Soi Cowboy is Nana Plaza. Basically it's as well known as Soi Cowboy and it is just one BTS station close to Soi Cowboy. From the BTS station Nana it is only a few minutes walk to the Nana Plaza, you can not miss, as soon as you get off at the BTS station, you can see the many people coming and going. While in Soi Cowboy all the bars are at ground level along the street, Nana Plaza has three floors where the bars are spread out.
Go-Go-Bars
The concept of the red light district is simple, you can have fun in the Go-Go Bars. It is served alcoholic drinks, the selection on the drinks menu is relatively sober. Women in mostly bikinis dance on stage. In some Go-Go Bars there are also elaborate costumes, so that not every bar is the same, there is a certain variety. Admission to the bars is usually free.
Red Light District
The term Red Light District should actually all be known. Surely you can enjoy yourself in the Soi Cowboy and the Nana Plaza in that you look at the atmosphere. For many men, these places are clearly a way to meet women or ladyboys and have sex for money. How this works we know for sure, do not give any information at this point. Who wants to buy sex for money, there will hardly have problems getting rid of his money.
